Past Training – November 2025 AFPHS Training – Age-Friendly Rural
Cross-sector collaboration and community-based approaches are essential in rural settings, where older adults face unique challenges. Older adults comprise nearly 20% of the rural population in the United States and that statistic is projected to grow to 25 % by 2040.
This training provides an overview of the National Rural Age-Friendly Initiative and highlight how age-friendly efforts are creating supportive environments that help older adults in rural communities age in place.
The speaker for this training will Rebecca Yeboah, Program Services Coordinator, National Rural Health Association
