The Elder Mistreatment Prevention Toolkit for Public Health Mistreatment Prevention Toolkit for Public Health, co-developed by Trust for America’s Health, Education Development Center, and the National Alliance for Caregiving, provides practical guidance and resources to help professionals in public health understand, prevent, and respond to elder mistreatment. The February 2026 AFPHS training will provide an overview of the toolkit and highlight the many roles public health professionals can play in preventing elder mistreatment through collaboration with community partners.
