October 2025 AFPHS Training – Dementia Friendly

Dementia Friendly America is a national network of communities, organizations, and individuals dedicated to ensuring that people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias—and their caregivers—are fully supported and included in all settings. The DFA initiative is administered by USAging and is considered part of the Age-Friendly Ecosystem, creating unique opportunities for collaboration and coordination across sectors.

This training will provide an overview of the dementia friendly movement and highlight the importance of integrating dementia friendly practices into the broader age-friendly framework to build more inclusive, supportive communities for all older adults.
