June 2023 AFPHS Training – Collecting, Analyzing, & Translating Data
Collecting, analyzing, and translating robust data that captures the health of older adults can be invaluable in developing new partnerships and identifying strategies to support older adult health and well-being. Some state departments of health already provide comprehensive older adult data profiles, and some are just starting the process. The June AFPHS training will highlight data sources that contain rich demographic and health information on the aging population that could be used to build and/or enhance data profiles or dashboards. Speakers representing the Administration for Community Living’s Profile of Older Americans and the National Poll on Healthy Aging at the University of Michigan will highlight some of these data and describe how the data could be used.
