Advancing Healthy Aging through Community Health Improvement: Introduction to the MAPP 2.0 Healthy Aging Indicators Guide
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) will host a webinar to introduce local health departments (LHDs) and their cross-sectoral partners to the MAPP 2.0 Healthy Aging Indicators Guide. This guide provides indicators and secondary data sources to inform assessment and improvement planning efforts related to healthy aging. Through a community health improvement process, such as Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) 2.0 participants will be able to:
- Define public health’s role in advancing healthy aging as defined by the Age Friendly Public Health Systems model
- Name opportunities to advance healthy aging through a community health improvement process
- List examples of recommended healthy aging indicators along a spectrum of root causes to health outcomes
- Describe considerations for exploring these indicators through community health improvement
